اِک پشیمان سی حسرت سے مُجھے سوچتا ہے
اب وُہی شہر محبت سے مُجھے سوچتا ہے
میں تو محدُود سے لمحوں میں مِلی تھی اُس سے
پھر بھی وہ کِتنی وضاحت سے مُجھے سوچتا ہے
جِس نے سوچا ہی نہ تھا ہجر کا ممکن ہونا
دُکھ میں ڈوُبی ہُوئی حیرت سے مُجھے سوچتا ہے
میں تو مَر جاؤں اگر سوچنے لگ جاؤں اُسے
اور وہ کِتنی سہُولت سے مُجھے سوچتا ہے
گرچہ اب ترکِ مراسم کو بہت دیر ہُوئی
اب بھی وہ میری اجازت سے مُجھے سوچتا ہے
کِتنا خوش فہم ہے وہ شخص کہ ہر موسم میں
اِک نئے رُخ نئی صُورت سے مُجھے سوچتا ہے
